TRAVEL MONDAY… To celebrate my 34th birthday in 2011, Ben and I spent a fun three days in the capital of Denmark. Copenhagen is a magical city, you can see where Hans Christian Andersen (The Little Mermaid statue is a top tourist attraction) found his inspiration. We spent the weekend wandering through the city and enjoying the clean, fresh, cold air. I was not the most relaxed during the weekend because I was preparing for my interview at the University. It took place just a few days after our return. Danish citizens pay 46% tax and this according to National Geographic leaves them worry free (no fees for education, a solid retirement, environmentally progressive and crime free society) making Copenhagen the happiest city in Europe! And a possible destination for Ben and I after Edinburgh (most likely a dream)!
